We are walking in honor of our Mother,
Edna Mae Harris
March 23,1951 - Nov. 17,2007
Our mother was a loving, generous, caring, beautiful and most importantly Spirit filled woman. She was always a supporter of Organ Donation years before she knew she was going to need a heart herself. She learned many years back that she was in need of a new heart.
November 1, 2007, our mother was put on the list to receive a new heart. On November 14, 2007 we received the call that would change all of our lives...They had a heart for her.
Our mother went into her surgery for a new heart with such peace and courage. Unfortunetly our mother did not make it out of her surgery. She went home to be with our Lord. We all miss her more than words could ever begin to express.
So as her family, we are supporting this cause as well as walking in memory of our Hero, Edna Mae Harris.
